Details
The case is metal alloy with a lid, decorated in colored enamel with a design inspired by the Dunhuang murals: two flying figures around a flower, inside a blue flower border. It measures 5.3 x 3.9 x 1.1 in (13.5 x 9.8 x 2.8 cm), and a short handle ends in a teal tassel. It comes with a mesh rack. Incense coils are not included.
The coil lies on the mesh rack inside the closed case and burns slowly from its outer end toward the center. The smoke escapes through the openings between the fan ribs, and the ash stays inside.
How to use
Light the outer end of an incense coil, let it catch, then blow the flame out so it glows. Open the lid, lay the coil on the mesh rack and close the lid. Set the burner down on a heat resistant surface. The coil must be small enough to fit inside the case.
