What personal data we collect, why we hold it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it.
1. Who is responsible for your data

3. What we never collect
We do not store full payment card numbers. Card data goes directly to our payment processor and never touches our servers. We do not collect health data, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

5. Who we share it with
We share only what a partner needs to do its job, and we never sell your personal information.

- Payment processors, including Shopify Payments and the other payment methods offered at checkout.
- Our fulfillment partner and the carriers, to prepare and deliver your parcel.
- Our email tools, to send order notifications and, with your consent, marketing.
- Analytics and advertising partners such as Google, to measure visits and ads, unless you opt out.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
6. International transfers
Some of our providers, including our fulfillment partner, process data outside the United States. Each of them receives only what it needs to do its job, such as your name and shipping address for delivery.
7. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, or send it to another provider. Write to us and we answer within thirty days. You will never be treated differently for exercising a right.
8. California residents
If you are a California resident, the CCPA and CPRA give you the right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose and sell, the right to delete it, the right to correct it, the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and the right to opt out of sale or sharing.
We do not sell personal information for money. We use advertising and analytics tools, such as the Google tag, that can count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CCPA. You can opt out at any time from the Your privacy choices page linked in the footer of every page, or by turning on the Global Privacy Control signal in your browser. We do not process sensitive personal information for inferring characteristics. To exercise another right, email contact@houseofdusk.com with the subject line "California privacy request". You may use an authorized agent, and we will verify your identity before acting.
9. Other state privacy laws
Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have comparable rights, including a right to appeal a refused request. Contact us the same way and tell us which state you live in.
10. Security
The site runs over HTTPS. Access to customer data is limited to the people who need it. We use reputable processors with their own security programs. No system is perfectly secure, and if a breach affects your data we will notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
11. Marketing
We email you about your order because we have to. We email you marketing only if you asked for it. Every marketing email carries a one-click unsubscribe, which we honor immediately.
12. Children
This store is not directed at children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the last change. A material change will be announced on the site.
