Details

The censer is made of metal alloy with an antique gold tone. A round cage with floral openwork sits on a banded cup, with a bird figure on top. The cup stands on a slim stem and a round foot with a raised floral pattern. You get one censer, without incense.

The cage keeps the burning incense contained. The smoke rises through the openwork, and the ash stays in the cup below the cage.

How to use

Open the cage. Light a small incense cone, let it catch, then blow the flame out so it glows. Set the cone in the cup and close the cage over it. Stand the censer on a flat, heat resistant surface where it cannot be knocked over.

Shipping and returns

Ships in 24 to 48 hours, then 6 to 9 business days in transit. Free shipping over $75. 30 days to return an unused item in its original packaging.

Safety

Never leave burning incense unattended. The cage and the cup get hot, so let them cool completely before you open the cage or empty the ash. Keep the censer away from curtains and paper, and out of reach of children and pets. Wipe the metal with a dry cloth.

Questions

Four things people ask

What is the Metal Cage Incense Censer on Stand made of?

It is metal. A burner takes heat and ash every time it is used, so the material has to stand it and then wipe clean once the piece is cold.

Is it safe to leave it burning?

Never leave burning incense unattended. Keep the burner on a heatproof surface, clear of curtains, paper and anything that moves in a draft, and remember that the ash and the piece stay hot for a while after the incense has gone out.

How much is it, and is shipping free?

This one is $19.90, and shipping is free over $75. Below that shipping is a flat $5.90, and an unused piece in its original packaging can go back within 30 days.

Where should the burner stand?

On a hard, heatproof surface with nothing above it. Smoke marks what it touches, so keep the burner clear of shelves, fabric and low ceilings, and give it a spot that can be wiped once the ash is cold.
