Details

The body is resin, finished to look like gray rock, with a small ring at the top for the cone. The red version has a red tree, a lantern tower and a little house. The pink version has a pink tree on a different rock layout. Both burners come without cones.

A backflow cone is hollow at the base. It draws part of its smoke down through a channel inside the burner. That smoke is cooler and heavier than the air, so it runs down the rocks and settles in the pool.

How to use

Light the tip of a backflow cone, let it catch, then blow the flame out so it glows. Set it on the ring at the top, hollow side down. The effect needs still air and a room that is not too warm, ideally 68 to 72°F (20 to 22°C).

Shipping and returns

Ships in 24 to 48 hours, then 6 to 9 business days in transit. Free shipping over $75. 30 days to return an unused item in its original packaging.

Safety

Never leave burning incense unattended. Use the burner on a heat resistant surface, away from curtains and paper, and out of reach of children and pets. Let the top cool before you touch it. Tar residue from the cones is normal. Soak the burner a few minutes in hot water with baking soda to loosen it, then let it dry.

Questions

Four things people ask

How does a backflow incense burner work?

The smoke of a backflow cone is heavier than the air around it, so it runs down the piece instead of rising. The cone needs a hollow center and a channel in the burner for the effect to show.

What is the Blossom Mountain Waterfall Backflow Incense Burner made of?

It is resin. A burner takes heat and ash every time it is used, so the material has to stand it and then wipe clean once the piece is cold.

Is it safe to leave it burning?

Never leave burning incense unattended. Keep the burner on a heatproof surface, clear of curtains, paper and anything that moves in a draft, and remember that the ash and the piece stay hot for a while after the incense has gone out.

How much is it, and is shipping free?

This one is $24.90, and shipping is free over $75. Below that shipping is a flat $5.90, and an unused piece in its original packaging can go back within 30 days.
