Details

This is one glass bottle in two layers, an inner reservoir set inside an outer cone. It comes in pink, clear, yellow or green; pink and clear share one style, yellow and green another. It can also hold water and a stem as a bud vase. Reeds and oil are not included, and the reeds and liquid in the photos only show it in use.

In a reed diffuser the reeds stand in scented oil and draw it up their length by capillary action. The oil then evaporates from the part of the reeds above the bottle and scents the room. There is no flame and no power.

How to use

Wash and dry it before the first use. Pour reed diffuser oil into the inner reservoir without overfilling. Place the reeds in the neck and let them soak, then turn them over every week or so to refresh the scent. For a vase, use water instead.

Shipping and returns

Ships in 24 to 48 hours, then 6 to 9 business days in transit. Free shipping over $75. 30 days to return an unused item in its original packaging.

Safety

Glass can break, so handle it with care and keep it out of reach of children and pets. Do not put a lit candle in or under it. Reed diffuser oil is flammable: keep the bottle away from open flames and heat. Stand it on a protected surface, since oil can mark wood and paint. Wipe spills at once and never swallow oil.

Questions

Four things people ask

How does a reed diffuser work?

The reeds stand in the oil and draw it up the stem, where it meets the air and leaves the room on its own. Nothing is lit, nothing is plugged in, and nothing has to be switched on or off.

Do reed diffusers need a flame or power?

No, neither. A reed diffuser runs on capillary action alone, which is why it works unattended in a hallway or a bathroom where a candle or a plug socket would be out of the question.

What is the bottle made of?

The bottle is glass. It stays on show for as long as the oil lasts, which is why the bottle counts as part of the object here and not simply as a container for the liquid inside.

How much is it, and is shipping free?

This one is $24.90, and shipping is free over $75. Below that shipping is a flat $5.90, and an unused piece in its original packaging can go back within 30 days.
