Details

This is one refillable bottle in thick, clear glass with a raised diamond pattern that also helps grip. Version A holds 50 ml. Versions B and C each hold 100 ml and differ in shape. Reeds and oil are not included. The reeds and flower in the photos only show the bottle in use.

In a reed diffuser the reeds stand in scented oil and draw it up their length by capillary action. The oil then evaporates from the part of the reeds above the bottle and scents the room. There is no flame and no power.

How to use

Wash and dry the bottle before the first use. Pour in reed diffuser oil, up to about two thirds full. Place the reeds in the neck and let them soak. Turn the reeds over every week or so to refresh the scent. Use more reeds for a stronger scent and fewer for a lighter one.

Shipping and returns

Ships in 24 to 48 hours, then 6 to 9 business days in transit. Free shipping over $75. 30 days to return an unused item in its original packaging.

Safety

Glass can break, so handle it with care and keep it out of reach of children and pets. Reed diffuser oil is flammable: keep the bottle away from open flames and heat. Stand it on a protected surface, since oil can mark wood and paint. Wipe spills at once and never swallow oil.

Questions

Four things people ask

How does a reed diffuser work?

The reeds stand in the oil and draw it up the stem, where it meets the air and leaves the room on its own. Nothing is lit, nothing is plugged in, and nothing has to be switched on or off.

Do reed diffusers need a flame or power?

No, neither. A reed diffuser runs on capillary action alone, which is why it works unattended in a hallway or a bathroom where a candle or a plug socket would be out of the question.

How much is it, and is shipping free?

This one is $24.90, and shipping is free over $75. Below that shipping is a flat $5.90, and an unused piece in its original packaging can go back within 30 days.

Where should a reed diffuser go?

Somewhere the air moves: an entry, a hallway, a landing. Moving air carries the scent off the reeds, while a closed corner holds it in one place. Keep the bottle off a surface that marks, since oil creeps.
