Details

The body is brown porcelain, cut with a geometric pattern all around. An arched opening at the front takes a tealight, and a separate wide dish sits on the rim. Besides water and oil, the dish can also be used with incense powder.

The tealight burns inside the body and heats the dish above it. The warm water lets the oil release its scent into the room, while the flame lights up the carved pattern. There is no power cord and no mist.

How to use

Stand the burner on a flat, heat resistant surface. Fill the dish with water and add a few drops of essential oil. Light a tealight and set it inside through the arched opening. Keep the dish topped up with water, and blow out the tealight when you are done.

Shipping and returns

Ships in 24 to 48 hours, then 6 to 9 business days in transit. Free shipping over $75. 30 days to return an unused item in its original packaging.

Safety

Never leave a lit tealight unattended. Keep the burner away from curtains, paper and drafts, and out of reach of children and pets. Heat escapes through the carved openings, so keep hands and fabric clear while it burns. Let the burner cool completely before you move or clean it.

Questions

Four things people ask

What goes in the dish?

Water first, then a few drops of oil. The tealight under the dish warms them and the scent rises as they warm. Some burners also take wax melts, and the product description says when one does.

What is it made of?

It is ceramic. The dish takes the heat of the tealight every time the burner is lit, so let the piece cool completely before you wipe it clean.

How much is it, and is shipping free?

This one is $34.90, and shipping is free over $75. Below that shipping is a flat $5.90, and an unused piece in its original packaging can go back within 30 days.

How do I clean the dish?

Let the burner cool completely, pour out what is left in the dish, then wipe it with a soft cloth. Keep water in the dish while the tealight burns, since a dish that runs dry is harder to clean.
