Details

It is a tealight oil burner with no electrical parts. The frame is bamboo, built as an open box with round cutouts in the sides. A white dish sits on top, and a white candle cup with a handle sits inside the frame. The candle is not included, and oil is sold separately.

A tealight burns in the cup under the dish. Its heat warms the water, and the oil releases its scent into the room. There is no mist and nothing to plug in.

How to use

Stand the burner on a flat, heat resistant surface. Fill the dish with water and add a few drops of essential oil. Put a tealight in the cup, light it, and slide the cup under the dish by its handle. Add water before the dish runs low, and blow the tealight out when you are done.

Shipping and returns

Ships in 24 to 48 hours, then 6 to 9 business days in transit. Free shipping over $75. 30 days to return an unused item in its original packaging.

Safety

Never leave a lit tealight unattended. Keep the burner away from curtains, paper and drafts, and out of reach of children and pets. Bamboo can burn, so use only a tealight in the cup. Do not let the dish run dry. Let the dish and cup cool before you move or clean them.

Questions

Four things people ask

What goes in the dish?

Water first, then a few drops of oil. The tealight under the dish warms them and the scent rises as they warm. Some burners also take wax melts, and the product description says when one does.

What is it made of?

It is bamboo. The dish takes the heat of the tealight every time the burner is lit, so let the piece cool completely before you wipe it clean.

How much is it, and is shipping free?

This one is $29.90, and shipping is free over $75. Below that shipping is a flat $5.90, and an unused piece in its original packaging can go back within 30 days.

How do I clean the dish?

Let the burner cool completely, pour out what is left in the dish, then wipe it with a soft cloth. Keep water in the dish while the tealight burns, since a dish that runs dry is harder to clean.
